Garmin IQue 3600

From Babybackpackers
Positive:
1) Built in PDA and GPS functions work together for an unbeatable geocaching experience.
2) It can store as many waypoints as you want 10,000+
3) It supports a 4 gig card! (You can put all of North America and more on there.)

Negative:
1) Built in battery. (You can't replace those batteries on the trail)
2) Non water proof and not as rugged as other models.
3) I keep losing the stylus.

  1. I have a iQue 3600 and have found the battery life leaves a lot to be desired.
I found it finds addresses flawlessly, but has trouble finding way points.
I use a Geko 201 for geocaching and the iQue 3600 to get me into the vicinity.

  2. I have about 6 hours of battery life before recharging. Be able to put it in its cradle in the car and recharge while driving to the next cache I have never had battery issues. With the thrird party programs out there made just for Geocaching, I find that the Ique is a great unit.

  3. I was wondering how these units work with both the pda and gps together. If you’re looking at the unit and it is showing some caches on the map (what maps can you use with this?), can you just tap on each one with the stylus and it pulls up all the info – like you would get from a gpx file?
